I want to create a new identity for Casa Mia which avoids the obvious cliches of an italian restaurant identity - a script, curvaceous, spaced title with the italian flag above it. I found a few which take a modern approach to italian identity, looking at bold, cut out typefaces with a high x-height.
I really like the cut out effect of the above logo and would potentially like to try it.
The above typeface I really like, due to the simple underlying, delicate shadow. I want to try applying this to a range of different typefaces, as it seems cliche of an Italian Restaurant identity, so hopefully it will retain this idea within any typeface.
