Packaging and promotion

Four spot inks of CMYK, used to produce this beautifully vibrant tour poster, using the silkscreening printing method. I really like its array of typefaces and centralisation of image and text.



'Seeing before reading'
Selection of book covers designed on visual image in relation to book content. This couldn't be achieved without the use and print of CMYK




'Camper' packaging - Bags

The vibrancy of the designs is really attractive and outstanding against the black background. This couldn't be achieved without CMYK print option.

A typographic design, columned and centralised. I really like the layout and use of type and language, it adds some professionalism and interest and a different aspect to the design - its a nice touch.





Pantone Plus campaign - Packaging

A lovely selection of packaging, playing with the concepts of swatches in regard to colour palette, certainly a play of print and CMYK. Its clever, I like it.



'Two Crown King' - CD case
A CD packaging design, produced in two spot colours the two working very well together, RGB looking very good here. I like the transitions from colour to colour, its harsh but subtly done with the edging cut away at.

A consistent style of designs for a range of bulky items,keeping to a colour palette and illustrative style and consistent line weight means the designs are in keeping throughout.



Student work
'So you wanna do graphic design'
A simple packaging idea, using very bold, heavy weights and an interesting typeface. Simple and effective for its purpose.

Using key, reference points and colour to show areas and road in order to follow direction. Attachments available to help. A nice interactive idea. The range of tones really works well in differentiating road, to parks and significant buildings.

Infographics
Using stock, red, blue and tones
A nice, simple, easily read approach to presenting information graphics.






SPOT COLOUR
Typeface related infographics, looking at Helvetica.
Using a spot Blue to highlight particular information to grasp a readers focus or immediate attention.


Shopping centre signage.
Spot colour way finding. A digital like typography and layout to present signage. A clever concept, the layout and alignment of text on its side means people really have to concentrate to read it, meaning it highlights information given to that of an importance.

Way finding - Public toilets

A very sophisticated typographic and logo combination design. The monochrome colour palette keeping the design simple, easy to follow and read. Which is whats needed with signage.

Individual books showing every swatch and weight 

I really like the idea behind the designs for the covers, and that so many swatches can be shown / used within just a few book covers. It's quite amazing really. I like how theres to line, set, or structure to the way in which the colours are placed, it's truly spontaneous.

I really like the pastel tones achieved within these designs, the two colours used per page, within a booklet of several colours means pages relating to front covers can easily be related in content. Its almost a visual guide.

De Bijloke (Ghent)
Promoting music concerts
I really like the monochrome colour palette with a splash of yellow. The spot colour highlighting the more important information on the designs, a clever method of eye and reading direction. The colour palette manages to be vibrant and subtle.

'Per Lambini'
Using 'swatch like' tabs of colour. A simple folded design, which has a big impact. I like the idea of image being hidden behind a fold, its a clever concept.




SPOT COLOUR
4 Fictional 
Branding for 'Format Furniture' company, The products were screen printed onto large sheet, which were then cut to size to give a range of colour palettes and designs. I really like the spots of colour here, as they have a level of transparency which is interesting and unique to the company.

A sophisticated and simple out standing monochromatic business branding, it looks professional and informative. The colour palette works throughout the range of materials printed.

Using letter press the materials creates a consistent design. The simplicity of the typeface and logo makes it recognisable to this particular company, in a sense making it reputable. I like the range of products and materials the design ranges across.
